Who will be my D.J.?
I will
be! Unlike many other D.J.'s, I do not contract services out to multiple
D.J.'s, therefore do not jeopardize the quality of work for my clients.
I also work personally with my clients multiple times prior to their event
date to ensure they receive the music selections that are perfect for them.
For receptions I discuss all the details of the event beforehand in order to
customize the reception (introductions, first dance, cake cutting,
blessings, etc...) this ensures that the wedding day runs smoothly.
What all do you do?
As the
D.J. of your event, I make sure everything runs smoothly. I will make
announcements as needed, I will do introductions, organize any special songs
for the event such as (bride/groom dance, dollar dance, married couples
dance, etc). What I do not do is try to steal the show and have attention
drawn to me. This is your event and I want it to be your night not mine. I
will play music that makes your guests happy and draws them to the dance
floor.
When should we book you?
I
generally begin booking events anywhere from six to twenty months in
advance. I recommend that you contact me as soon as possible to check the
availability of your event date. If it is last minute that is alright too.
I would be more than happy to DJ if I am available.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, a
deposit of $100 is required for wedding receptions, and a 10% deposit is
required for other events. The deposit is non-refundable, it will be added
to the final balance which is due the day of the event.
Are you insured?
Yes, I
have full liability insurance, which is required at many facilities.
Do you take breaks, drink alcohol, or smoke?
No, to
all of the above. I take my business serious and act professional at all
events. I do not drink alcohol or smoke and no breaks will be taken unless
instructed by you.
Do you play requests? Will you play our CD's?
I will
happily do both. With my own music library containing over 10,000 songs, I
can accommodate most requests. I also have the capability to play a specific
song or songs that you may have on C.D.. With requests, I will play requests
from your guests provided that the song fits with the flow of the event. I
will not play any requests that are inappropriate or any songs that are on
your "do not play list".
What do you wear?
I
dress professionally to fit the occasion. Upon request I can wear a themed
outfit if you are having a themed event.
How loud do you play the music?
I
always play the music at an appropriate level. Not so loud that people can’t
converse and not to quite that you can’t get into the dancing mood. I am
also flexible, if you feel it needs to be louder or quieter, that is not a
problem to adjust.
Why are your rates lower than most?
I am
self-employed and have no other staff to pay. I also try to limit
advertising cost. I enjoy doing this and don’t feel the need to overcharge
my customers. I provide the same type of service if not better with higher
quality equipment than most other companies at a fraction of their cost.
